Nurse Technicians (Patient Care Techs)/Nursing Assistants – Full Time & Part Time - Med/Surg and Float Pool
At New York-Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist, Nurse Technicians/Nursing Assistants (NT/NA) thrive at the bedside as invaluable care providers. Provide compassionate patient focus and perform select care duties under the supervision of a registered nurse. Improve the patient experience and maintain a safe, clean and healthy environment. Demonstrate what it means to be part of a team and raise the bar for patient care.
We have Full Time and Part Time NT/NA positions available at NYP/Brooklyn Methodist located in Brooklyn, NY. Three weekend is required for the first 2 years of employment (every Saturday & Sunday).
We currently have the following shifts available:
Day Shift - 7:30AM - 4:00PM
Evening Shift - 3:30PM - 12:00AM
Night Shift - 11:45PM - 7:45AM

Required Criteria
High school diploma or GED
Current BLS from the American Heart Association
Nurse Technician - Successfully completion of an accredited Nurse Technician/Patient Care Technician Program or Nursing Assistant Certificate along with EKG and Phlebotomy Certificates
Nursing Assistant - Previous Nurse’s aide experience in a hospital setting or certification from an approved accredited Nurse Aid training program or currently enrolled in a BSN program for nursing, at the junior year level or had completed at least one clinical practicum

Please note that all roles require on-site presence (variable by role). Therefore, all employees should live within a commutable distance to NYP.
NYP will not reimburse for travel expenses.
