Field Director Facilities – NYP Brooklyn Methodist Hospital - Engineering

Reporting to the Senior Director - Facilities Operations, the Field Director directs and oversees preventive, reactive and emergency maintenance teams and personnel in the field. Directs engineering staff and related resources to maintain a safe and reliable hospital physical plant, grounds and equipment. Plans, directs, and supervises the functions and activities of facilities managers and staff.   

This is a full time position located at NYP/Brooklyn Methodist Hospital overseeing the Center for Community Health (CCH) and the main campus.

Preferred Criteria

• NYC Steam/Refrigeration license 

Required Criteria

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent  experience
• At least seven years of supervisory facilities engineering experience, preferably at a large hospital
• Proven management skills in diverse labor force
• Microsoft Office skills
• Knowledge of MEP systems, CMMS systems
• Management/Supervisory skills
• Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office programs including Outlook, Word and Excel
• Knowledge in the use of CMMS systems to organize and track staff work performance
• Knowledge of NFPA Life Safety Code, JCAHO, New York State, and other regulatory agency safety requirements.
