Doula - Postpartum - Per-diem - Nights

Doulas would be responsible to provide emotional and physical support to the patient/ family in all the stages of their labor, birth/postpartum process. The doula will work closely with the birthing team (midwives, nurses and physicians} to provide safe, high quality and culturally sensitive care to all patients giving birth at NYP\BMH.

This is a per-diem night shift position atNewYork-Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist Hospital.

Preferred Criteria

• Experience in Childbirth education, labor support, or breastfeeding education and support

• DONA International certification preferred or obtain within six months from hire

• Certified Lactation Counselor certification preferred

Required Criteria

• High School Diploma or GED

• Doula certification from anaccredited Doula training program

• Basic computer literacy

• Ability to communicate effectively

• Excellent customer service skills
