We're Seeking Anesthesia Technicians...

As an Anesthesia Tech III at NYP, You Will…

• provide approved assistance to Anesthesiologists / CRNA’s during the induction, maintenance and emergence from Anesthesia.

• assist the anesthesiologists/ CRNA’s with the placement of regional anesthetics and invasive monitoring devices.

• maintain on a daily and case to case basis, the equipment and supplies necessary to provide quality and cost-effective anesthesia care to all patients cared for by the Anesthesia Department.

• set up sterile equipment, such as intravenous, central venous, arterial and pulmonary artery catheters using sterile technique.

• ensure the sterility and cleanliness of specialized equipment, including TEE’s, fiber optic scopes and LMA’s.

• perform other job-related duties as assigned.

Preferred Criteria:

• A minimum of two to three years experience as an anesthesia technician.

Required Criteria:

• Certification by American Society of Anesthesia Technologists and Technicians (ASATT)

• Associate’s Degree from an accredited program in Anesthesiology Technology OR suitable combination of education and experience  including High School Diploma or GED

• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification through the American Heart Association
