In this role, you will evaluate and treat adult patients with communication and swallowing disorders in an inpatient rehabilitation setting with some opportunities in acute care and the outpatient practice setting. You will work collaboratively with members of the multidisciplinary care team to provide exceptional care and address patient goals. Ideal candidates will have experience evaluating and treating speech-language, cognition, and swallowing in the adult population as a result of traumatic brain injury, neurological, cardiac, GI, and medical diagnoses. This is a full-time 5 day per week position working varying shifts in the inpatient and outpatient adult settings between the hours of 8AM and 6PM. This position is working Sun-Thurs with rotating weekend and holiday commitments are required. This position will work at our New York-Presbyterian/Brooklyn Methodist Hospital location.
Preferred Criteria
Adult experience in an inpatient rehabilitation setting; with experience in traumatic brain injury and various neurological diagnoses
Experience evaluating and treating adult communication and swallowing disorders
Experience in dysphagia evaluation/treatment across the lifespan
Experience changing and managing TEPs
Competency and experience in Modified Barium Swallow (MBS) studies
Required Criteria
Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology
Certification by the American Speech and Hearing Association within 1 year of hire
New York State Licensure in Speech-Language Pathology within 1 year of hire
Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification required

Salary Range:
