Neuroscience Technician– EEG – Per Diem Nights

NewYork-Presbyterian/Columbia University Medical Center has a distinguished history of transformative innovation. Founded in 1909, our Neurological Institute was the first in North America. We treat the largest stroke caseload worldwide, with the lowest mortality rate for aneurysm surgery in NY State. And we’re pioneering the development of hypothermic arrest surgery. We’re seeking a highly skilled Neuroscience Technician to serve as an integral part of our program.

In this role, under the supervision of the management team, performs standard electroencephalograph (EEG) and/or evoked potential (EP) and/or electromyography (EMG) recordings as directed. Conducts long term monitoring of EEG signals with depth and cortical electrodes as directed. Ensures patient safety and comfort during procedures. May perform polysomnographic and ambulatory studies.

This is a per diem, night shift position as needed from 8:00pm – 9:00am including rotating weekends and holidays at NYP Westchester in Bronxville, right across from the Metro North Station.

Preferred Criteria 

• Certification
• Six months to one year of prior experience

Required Criteria

• High School Diploma or equivalent required

Please note that all roles require on-site presence (variable by role). Therefore, all employees should live within a commutable distance to NYP.
