Provide directions for the staff working in a satellite pharmacy and nursing units. Ensure the safety and appropriateness of medication management. Provide information and services to achieve optimal patient outcomes. Meet with the medical staff regularly to review the pharmaceutical care for patients on assigned service. Working supervisor/work leader having input for performance reviews, hire, termination, and discipline. Represent the department on various innovative projects. Although this is not a supervisory role, the lead pharmacist may be managing staff within the department.

This position covers the day shift hours of 8:00am – 4:00pm including every other weekend and holidays.

Preferred Criteria

• At least 3 years' experience in a hospital setting
• Completion of a PGY1 or PGY2 residency 
• Patient education experience

Required Criteria

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Bachelor of Science Degree in Pharmacy or Pharm.D. Degree
• New York State licensure (or eligibility to obtain)
