About NYP's Critical Care Department

In our critical care units, our sickest patients receive the highest possible level of care from dedicated nursing teams, and benefit from 24-hour cardiac monitoring, bedside dialysis, and point-of-care computer technology to monitor their conditions. NYP nurses draw on their knowledge, experience, and specialized, certified training to aid patients in their recovery, and to serve as devoted advocates for their well-being. In addition, our nurses support and communicate with patients’ families and loved ones throughout their stay.

As caregivers at the #1 Hospital in New York (U.S. News & World Report 2021-22) our critical care nurses are poised to continue building on a foundation of excellence while working alongside the best and brightest in the medical field. We are proud that our NYP hospital campuses are either Magnet® designated facilities or on the journey to Magnet® Excellence.
