Mary Cassai MPA, RN, NEA-BC, is the Senior Vice President of Perioperative Services at NYP, where she ensures top quality patient care and oversees the operations for over 170 operating rooms/endoscopy suites and 2,000+ staff members. During the COVID-19 pandemic, Mary led efforts to rapidly transform operating rooms and post anesthesia care units into ICUs to meet the demands of the health crisis, while empowering her teams to meet the needs of these critically ill patients in the most untraditional ICU setting.

Lystra M. Swift

Corporate Director, Perioperative Services

Lystra Swift MA, RN, CNOR, knew from early in her career that her talents were best suited to the OR. Since 1997, she has gained OR experience across a range of surgical specialisms: cardiac, urology, thoracic, and cancer, as well as general. Swift joined the NYP team in 2018. Today, her span of control includes pre-op examination, peri-anesthesia nursing, ORs, cystoscopy suite, eye ASU, and endoscopy—among many other leadership responsibilities.

Corporate Director, Central Sterile and Endoscopy Reprocessing

Shirley Beauvais MSN, RN, CCRN-ALUMNS, is the Corporate Director, Clinical Services of Central Sterile and Endoscopy Reprocessing. She oversees the operational, educational and regulatory activities of all Central Sterile and Endoscopy Reprocessing units across NYP and develops and executes the strategic vision of standardization of the CSPD support of all perioperative, procedural, women’s & children’s, and ambulatory care network clinics.

Patient Care Director, Central Sterile Processing Department

With over 7 years of experience within the NewYork-Presbyterian organization, Dexter Stephen has a wide perspective on what it takes to positively impact patients’ lives. He began working with us as a Registered Nurse with our Weill Cornell Medical Center. Through multiple degree, licensing, and certification programs, Dexter has continued to grow his skills and education. As his career has taken him from a Clinical Manager to his current role as a Patient Care Director, Dexter continues to balance caring, compliance, and safety in his work.

Beth Ann Forader

Patient Care Director, Central Sterile Processing Department

As a Patient Care Director within the NewYork-Presbyterian Hudson Valley Hospital, Beth Ann Forader has a wealth of unique experiences. With over 10 years of experience, her career has spanned being a Registered Nurse, working in a Level 1 trauma center, becoming a RN House Supervisor, and a Clinical Manager. While she leads her team in her current role as a Patient Care Director, Beth Ann also helps build up the skills of others through her involvement with NYP’s education committee and mentorship program.
