As a Social Worker in the Outpatient Clinic, you will provide mental health services for patients who are deaf or have various degrees of hearing loss. You will work closely with a team fluent in American Sign Language and provide psychotherapy to children, adolescent, and adult patients, families and groups. You will have the opportunity to provide consultation on the inpatient units.  The Deaf and Hard of Hearing Program is a high energy, regionally renowned program.  Here, you'll experience all the reasons why you entered such a rewarding field. 

This part time Social Worker will primarily work Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays, with some evening hours.

Preferred Criteria

  • Previous outpatient psychiatric Social Work experience
  • Previous experience working with people with hearing loss
  • Training and experience providing Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT)
  • Fluent in American Sign Language
  • Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW)

Required Criteria

  • Master’s Degree in Social Work (MSW)
  • Licensed Masters Social Worker (LMSW) by the State of New York
  • Basic Life Support Certification from the American Heart Association
