Be the face of effectiveness, nursing-led excellence and compliance as a Nurse Administrator across NewYork-Presbyterian/Westchester Division as we continue on our Magnet Journey. Manage patient care delivery across the hospital during evening and night shifts, serving as a clinical resource and administrator in the absence of unit leaders or when care-related issues arise.  Direct quality improvement, regulatory compliance, staffing, documentation and professional development. Serve as a high-level advocate for patient rights, promoting patient and family satisfaction while working to ensure safe and healing care environments. Collaborate with our Patient Care Directors and other managers to plan and implement strategies for enhanced performance.

Full Time Nurse Administrator - Psychiatry - Westchester

The Nurse Administrator is responsible and accountable for the clinical operations of the Nursing Department on an assigned shift to ensure continuity of patient care. You will collaborate with Patient Care Directors and others in planning and implementing high quality, safe patient care. You will act as a consultant to staff, and is a member of the Nursing Leadership Team. In addition to managing scheduling, staffing and supplies, you will participates in planning, implementation, and evaluation of short and long range goals. You will also be accountable for monitoring staff compliance with regulatory and hospital requirements.

The Full Time Nurse Administrator works 8-hour or 12 hour shifts, covering evenings, nights and weekends, as needed.

Preferred Criteria

  • At least 3 years of psychiatric nursing experience
  • Psychiatric Mental Health Nursing Certification
  • Master Degree in Nursing

Required Criteria

  • 3 years of recent progressive leadership experience
  • Masters in Nursing or related field if already holds a BSN degree. If currently pursuing a Masters must obtain within 1 year of hire. Either bachelors or graduate degree must be in Nursing
