The Safe Patient Handling, Mobility, and Fall Prevention Coordinator provides leadership and assumes responsibility for the development, implementation, coordination, maintenance, and evaluation of our Safe Patient Handling, Mobility, and Falls Prevention Program. This includes integrated programs across all clinical services and disciplines. Responsibility includes the development of safe patient handling strategies and the assessment of outcomes at the health care system level. Maintain compliance for the program with Department of Health, Joint Commission and other regulatory bodies. Coordinate remediation of equipment issues with manufacturers/vendors and facility contracting, biomedical department, and facilities management. In this role you will develop and update policies and procedures and track incidents/injuries and implement root cause analysis.

This position is at the NYP Queens location.

Preferred Criteria:

  • Certification in SPHM

Required Criteria:

  • Minimum 3-5 years’ experience within field. 
  • Licensed PT, PTA, OT, or RN
