NewYork-Presbyterian Queens enjoys a proud legacy of serving several generations of Queens’ residents and it’s increasingly diverse and burgeoning community.  At NYP Queens, not only do We Put Patients First, we treat them like family.  As Project Manager, you will coordinate all planning, design, & construction related activities, helping us to expand our exceptional services within the hospital and throughout the borough. 

In this role, the Project Manager will coordinate and manage assigned projects, both major and minor, from inception to completion in the most cost effective and timely manner with minimum disruption to facility operations.  Manage construction projects during all phases, including design and construction, establishing feasibility of proposed projects space and budget, developing bid proposal for assigned projects and insuring proper selection of qualified general contractor and/or construction manager.

Make tomorrow better for our patients by partnering with leadership to identify prospective planning, design, & construction opportunities in strategic locations in Queens to ensure the community residents and patients continue to have access to the broad scope of services offered at NYP Queens.

Required Criteria

  • Bachelor’ Degree
  • Thorough knowledge of general construction practices and techniques, building trades, hand and power tools, meters, rest equipment and machinery, and all related supplies and equipment;
  • Understanding of basic principles of electricity, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, mechanics and architecture;
  • Working knowledge of NYC Building Department regulations, gained through at least 5 years in hospital construction and renovation or,
  • 3 years’ experience plus a bachelor degree in Architectural Design with Health Care background; 
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, contracts, codes and regulatory documents and the ability to produce moderate scale drawings and plans; 
  • This position requires a high level of physical exertion and demands such as lifting, climbing ladders, crouching, reaching, bending, kneeling and stretching.
