At the Arrhythmia Center, we offer numerous types of cardiac monitoring, including Holters, event monitors, and continuous cardiac monitoring in traditional and leadless formats. As the only full-service electrophysiology laboratory in the borough of Queens, we are committed to providing comprehensive care from office consultations to procedures that are all performed in our laboratory. Our Arrhythmia Center is the only center in Queens, and one of the few centers in New York, to offer the leadless pacemaker, the WATCHMAN procedure, Direct His-bundle pacing (DHBP), and Hybrid Surgical/Endocardial Ablation of Atrial Fibrillation.

Nurse Practitioner - Arrhythmia Center – NewYork-Presbyterian Medical Group - Queens

The arrhythmia specialists at New York-Presbyterian Medical Group Queens provide high-quality care to patients with an arrhythmia and offers advanced diagnostic techniques and therapeutic procedures, which include noninvasive treatment options. The Advanced Practice Nurse will assist collaborating physicians in providing assessments, diagnosis, care and treatment of patients in an outpatient cardiology practice setting. Responsibilities include treatment, management and remote management of implanted device patients; pacemakers, defibrillators, and loop recorders; ordering of labs, cardiac tests and medications; receiving, interpreting, and communicating testing results; and coordinating admissions and/or transfers to other facilities. In this role you will assesses the physical and psycho-social health status of individuals and families through history and physical examination. And evaluates the assessment data to make decisions about treatment in collaboration with physicians and other health professionals.

This is a full time Monday - Friday, day position located at NewYork-Presbyterian Medical Group Queens’ Arrhythmia Center.

Required Criteria:

  • Current NY State certification as a Nurse Practitioner in area of specialty.
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing
  • Master's degree as a Nurse Practitioner or completion of a certificate program as a Nurse Practitioner in area of specialty.
  • Experienced Nurse Practitioner with Cardiology and electrophysiology experience
  • Proficiency in 12 Lead EKG testing
  • Proficiency in Arrhythmia Interpretation
  • BCLS/ACLS certification
