Make a lasting impression on patients at NewYork-Presbyterian Queens as a Medical Assistant at our Therapeutic Medicine Center at NewYork-Presbyterian Queens - a state-of-the-art adult infusion center.  With 2,200 square feet of treatment space, the Therapeutic Medicine Center provides a patient-focused, relaxed, and peaceful environment for individuals receiving intravenous treatment for cancer, anemia, and other medical conditions.  Be the calm and reassuring presence patients need as they navigate their hospital experience while keeping our fast-paced environments running smoothly.

At NewYork-Presbyterian Queens, Medical Assistants are invaluable care providers. They serve as critical points of contact for patients and their families while providing compassionate patient focused care under the supervision of a MD, PA, or RN. Improve the patient experience and maintain a safe, clean, and healthy environment. Measure and record height, weight and vital signs. Perform phlebotomy, collect and prepare specimens for the labs. Demonstrate what it means to be part of a team; raise the bar for patient care; and help us deliver superior customer service to our diverse local community.

This position is Monday - Friday day shift at NewYork-Presbyterian Queens.

Required Criteria

  • A High School diploma or GED is required.
  • Certification from an approved Medical Assistant program
  • Strong Phlebotomy skills
  • ​Excellent customer service skills
  • Knowledge of EMR
