Pediatric Cardiology Practice

Licenses Required:

Certificate of completion from Echocardiography Training Course.

Preferred:

RDCS- Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer

Responsibilities:

Explains procedure to patient and positions patient for

exam using immobilization and supportive devices as

needed.

Adjusts the equipment to the correct setting to maximize

the quality of exam.

Reviews each film for technical accuracy, proper

identification and proper anatomical orientation.

Inspects echocardiogram machine, supplies, to ensure

cleanliness and proper working order; reports

malfunctions promptly.

Performs exams ensuring quality and continuity of patient

care.

Maintains a level of productivity which is consistent with the

needs of the Medical Group.

Demonstrates the ability to organize patient care and set

priorities.
