Community Outreach Representative – Cancer Service Program

Support the growth of our community health initiatives at NewYork-Presbyterian/Queens.  Help patient’s access cutting-edge care from industry leading providers.  Contribute to the development of community programs bringing coordinated care, to patients our hospital dedicated to servicing. Advance your career and explore this opportunity as a Community Outreach Representative. 

In this role, you will be responsible for coordinating an outreach strategy to strengthen relationships with the community, reinforce brand recognition of NewYork-Presbyterian/Queens.  Annual conference(s) and special event coordination will require attention to detail.  This role will manage the development of outreach, coordinate, participate in community lectures, and host health events to provide health education. Serve as liaison between community members and staff to foster patient satisfaction and improve customer relations. Lastly, you will connect patients to appropriate resources in the hospital if needed. You will work closely with multidisciplinary NYP Queens team, community organizations, patients, community members and volunteers, all within a highly collaborative environment!

This is a full time 100% Grant funded position that has been extended until September 30, 2022, located in Flushing Queens.

Preferred Criteria

  • Bilingual (English-Spanish)
  • Bachelor’s degree

Required Criteria·         

  • High School diploma
  • A minimum three years’ healthcare or marketing experience in program development, or community outreach        
  • Demonstrated ability to build community relationships
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft, Word, Excel and PowerPoint
