Clinical Psychologist – Family PEACE Trauma Treatment Center (FPTTC)- Full Time Days – Grant Funded
The Family PEACE (Preventing Early Adverse Childhood Experiences) Trauma Treatment Center (FPTTC) in the division of the Ambulatory Care Network of New York-Presbyterian Hospital provides holistic mental health services for trauma exposed children(ages 0-5yrs) and their families. Services are offered in English and Spanish with a focus on trauma-informed and culturally responsive practices. The early childhood mental health psychologist will provide direct services at the FPTTC and within the community as part of a grant project. Direct services include Child-Parent Psychotherapy (CPP), individual treatment and group interventions. Additional responsibilities include conducting trainings within NYP and the community and serving as a liaison for partner agencies. This position uniquely offers the opportunity to receive formal training in evidence-based/informed, trauma-focused, treatment interventions.
Preferred Criteria
- Experience conducting psychotherapy with high-risk populations and working within the community
- Experience in one or more of the following areas: Domestic Violence, Child Abuse, Trauma Treatment, Early Childhood Mental Health, Parent-Child Psychotherapy
- Knowledge of ACEs and Trauma-Informed Care
- Spanish fluency
Required Criteria
- NYS Licensed or License-Eligible Ph.D./Psy.D.
- Licensure within 18 months of hire
- New York State Limited Permit in Clinical Psychology upon hire
