Supervisor Physician Assistant - Hospitalist Internal Medicine Service - Days/Flex Schedule - Lower Manhattan Campus

For our expertise and expanding responsibilities, you'll often hear our PAs refer to NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital as a PA-run institution. This position gives an opportunity for growth in a leadership role, while still practicing medicine.

Practice the art and science of evidence-based medicine at NewYork-Presbyterian/Lower Manhattan Hospital under  the  direction  of  the the Chief Physician Assistant of the clinical service, who will provide leadership development to you directly. 

As a Supervisor PA you will be supervising the clinical staff of the service to ensure NYP polices are followed, providing clinical direction and development to all clinical staff, participating on service, departmental and hospital wide projects and ensuring the culture of the team is positive while focusing on engagement and retention of our staff. 

Shift: Mainly days with flexibility to cover some weekends. As an individual in a leadership role, the schedule for your clinical work and leadership responsibilities may vary.

Preferred Criteria

  • Experience on a hospitalist day shift highly preferred
  • Eager to lead and support a clinical team of 12-14 staff PA’s.

Required Criteria

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Physician Assistant studies
  • Current NYS licensure
  • NCCPA certification
  • Minimum 5 years of Physician Assistant experience
