Substance Abuse Counselor – Rehab Specialist -  Methadone Clinic - Full Time

A Substance Abuse Counselor – Rehab Specialist career with NewYork-Presbyterian’s Ambulatory Care Network (ACN) is dynamic and often unpredictable, bringing new challenges to each and every day. There are several paths for success—and countless opportunities to impact the communities we serve. The Methadone Maintenance Clinic treats patients that have a history of opiate addiction and provides true multidisciplinary care.

In this integrated practice, you'll provide counseling to patients alongside the Social Worker care team, collaborate with a multifaceted team including doctors, nurses, nutritionists, and psychiatrists, as well as professionals across NYP and within the community.  Ensure efficient service delivery and the highest levels of patient satisfaction. 

Preferred Criteria

  • Master's Degree
  • Fluency in English/Spanish
  • 3 or more years of experience treating patients with an opiate addiction
  • Working knowledge of Joint Commission, New York State, DEA, DOH and Oasis regulatory requirements

Required Criteria

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Basic Life Support Certification
