Speech Language Pathologist - Per Diem - Columbia University Irving Medical Center

At NewYork-Presbyterian/Columbia University Medical Center our Speech-Language Pathologists help adult patients experiencing serious impairments to connect with the world around them. Under the supervision of the Manager of Speech-Language Pathology, you will work with patientsacross the lifespan from the most acutely ill in our Adult ICUs, to the inpatient rehabilitation unit, to the outpatient setting. Help us continue to live up to our reputation as New York’s #1 hospital.

This is a per diem position with flexibility to work weekend / holidays from 8:30-4:30pm.

Preferred Criteria

  • Experience working with Trach/Vent patients

Required Criteria

  • Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology
  • Certification of clinical competence in Speech-Language Pathology by the American Speech-Language-Pathology Association
  • New York State Licensure in Speech-Language Pathology
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification required
  • Adult experience in inpatient and outpatient setting
  • Experience in dysphagia evaluation/treatment across the lifespan
  • Competency in Modified Barium Swallow Study and/or FEES
