Social Worker-Bilingual Spanish Behavioral Health Clinician, Comprehensive Health Program ACN -Columbia
The Comprehensive Health Program at NewYork-Presbyterian/Columbia University Medical Center has provided care to patients of all ages with HIV/AIDS and other chronic infections since 1998. Today, we care for over 2,000 individuals with HIV, hepatitis C, STDs, and other infectious conditions. We also provide access to preventative measures such as pre-exposure prophylaxis (PrEP).
This is a new grant funded program in our Comprehensive Health Program providing preventative services for the high risk patients and providing behavioral health services to the underserved
Behavioral Health Clinicians work within a multi-disciplinary care team to provide services to people living with HIV, Hepatitis C, and at risk for HIV. The Behavioral Health Clinician provides mental health services to patients on an on-needed basis to patients as part of their comprehensive treatment plan. The Behavioral Health Clinician also provides care coordination services to a small panel (10-15) patients.
The individual must be able to work with others in a team setting, have excellent communication skills and a desire to work with these populations who have a high prevalence of mental illness, trauma and substance use. This is a Monday - Friday position. 9-5pm with 2 days a week 11am-7pm

Problem Solving Therapy
CBT and DBT
Bilingual Spanish
LCSW
Required Criteria
Master’s Degree in Social Work (MSW)
New York State License as a Licensed Masters Social Worker (LMSW)
If a new graduate Social Worker, Limited Permit (must supply exam date prior to start of employment)
If a new graduate Social Worker, must have Licensed Masters Social Worker (LMSW) by the State of New York within 1 year of hire
