Senior Financial Analyst - Operational Efficiency

Channel your top-notch reporting and data analysis skills at the nation’s largest private not-for-profit medical center, NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital  Under the guidance of the Director of Performance Improvement, the Senior Financial Analyst (SFA) will be responsible for the production of financial reports that assist in the monitoring of the hospital's financial performance. You should have a general understanding of the healthcare industry and have experience with working with large data sets, performing data analysis, visualization, and reconciliation. The SFA will also be involved with the numerous ongoing projects relating to the identification of cost saving opportunities, bench marking, resource utilization analysis, quality/cost analysis, and dashboard creation. This position plays a key role in advancing HERCULES, NewYork-Presbyterian’s campus-wide efficiency initiative that has already reduced costs by $300 million while simultaneously posting highest-ever patient satisfaction. Join our close-knit team, and get exposure to management and leadership across all six of our New York City-area campuses.

Preferred Criteria

  • Experience in the Healthcare industry
  • Experience in database management with knowledge of SQL and Business Intelligence/Visualization tools (i.e Tableau)
  • Experience with EPSI and Lawson

Required Criteria

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance or related discipline, or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of 3 years of related work experience
  • Advanced Excel skills and strong financial analytical experience
  • Demonstrates initiative for taking on new tasks or responsibilities. Exhibits creative thinking by suggesting alternative and innovative solutions to problems encountered
  • Must be able to work with large data sets and demonstrate thorough aptitude for quantitative analyses
