Description:

A Physician Network that Impacts the Big Picture: You Can Help Make It Possible!

Support NewYork-Presbyterian Medical Group planning and operations through detailed financial analysis and analytic support to drive operational performance by:

  • Conducting analysis and meeting with physicians and administrators to understand physician-specific opportunities in areas such as productivity, revenue cycle, access, quality and operational efficiency metrics.
  • Supporting strategic growth planning across clinical service lines.
  • Completing medical group financial analyses to support network development and physician recruitment efforts for a region.
  • Assisting with report and proposal writing as it relates to physician recruitment and network development activities.
  • Development of activity tracking mechanism and database for all offsite licensing agreements.
  • Supports and helps train Analysts of Physician Services team.
  • Communicates metrics to clinicians, college departments, service lines, and other external constituencies. Assists these groups in interpreting data and recommending process improvements.
  • Prepares written analyses and summaries of planning studies for management.
  • Performs other special projects and duties as assigned.

Preferred Criteria:

  • Master’s degree

Required Criteria:

  • 5 - 7 years of healthcare administration/strategic planning/management consulting experience required or equivalent experience -at the department’s discretion.
  • Ability to prioritize conflicting needs; handle matters expeditiously, proactively, and follow through on projects to successful completion, often with deadline pressures.
  • Extensive knowledge of HIPAA Standards and Policies.
  • Develop, implement and audit policies and procedures for all areas of the professional services revenue cycle.
  • Ability to develop training curriculum and conduct training sessions.
  • Desire and commitment to delight internal customers.
  • Strong leader, team builder, and well-honed influencing skills; confident and articulate.Solid business acumen and an interest in understanding the business.
  • Working knowledge of full scope revenue cycle management; Patient registration, billing, payment posting, denial tracking/resolution and Accounts Receivable.
  • Extensive experience with implementing and maintaining billing systems.Requires outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
