Regulatory Specialist - Quality & Patient Safety - Full Time - Weill Cornell

Participate in hospital-wide continuous readiness activities to facilitate ongoing hospital compliance with Joint Commission, CMS and DOH requirements. Support the Implementation of  standardized processes for accreditation and regulatory activities at all hospital sites in this corporate role. Inspire excellence on a daily basis by partnering with hospital leadership across departments and campuses to provide high quality patient care while maintaining ongoing accreditation and specialty certification. Use your subject matter expertise to drive deadlines and provide guidance toward compliance. Review and interpret hospital or departmental data and monitoring tools to ensure that standards are measured appropriately, areas if risk are identified and effective mitigation strategies are in place .

Preferred Criteria

  • Master's Degree in a related field
  • Experience with Joint Commission or Regulatory Survey Activity

Required Criteria

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a related field
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a healthcare setting
  • Experience with managing and interpreting data
  • Basic knowledge of Joint Commission, CMS, and DOH requirements
  • Ability to manage multiple activities and meet timelines/deadlines
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
  • Ability to work with a variety of departments and levels of personnel
