Registered Dietitian (RD) / Clinical Nutritionist - Oncology/Staff Relief

Bring your acute care experience to a department that has contributed substantially to the study of nutrition and its relationship to various diseases. Here, at Columbia University Irving Medical Center, you will work with dynamic colleagues and a diverse in-patient population.  You will have the opportunity to educate dietetic interns and staff, as you develop nutrition treatment programs to ensure optimal nutritional care, in accordance with established procedures and regulatory requirements.

This is a full time position which includes some weekends and holidays.

Preferred Criteria

  • At least 1 year of acute care experience

Required Criteria

  • Minimum of a Baccalaureate Degree granted by a U.S. regionally accredited college/university or foreign equivalent
  • Completion of an ACEND accredited/approved Supervised Practice Program in Dietetics
  • Registration with the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) within 6 months; if the applicant is not registered upon hire, an ACEND verification statement indicating completion of an accredited/approved supervised practice program in dietetics is required
  • Certification by the State of New York as a Certified Dietitian/Nutritionist NYS certification within 12 months
