Pharmacy Informatics Specialist - Part Time Time - Alexandra Cohen Hospital for Women and Newborns

The NewYork-Presbyterian Alexandra Cohen Hospital for Women and Newborns will be a leader in providing outstanding, compassionate, personalized care to pregnant women, newborn babies and their families. Scheduled to open in August 2020, the 222,000 square foot facility will occupy the top five-and-a-half floors of the NewYork-Presbyterian David H. Koch Center and will feature: 75 private rooms and well-baby bassinets, 60 private neonatal intensive care isolettes, 16 labor and delivery rooms, five operating rooms, 20 maternal critical assessment and treatment rooms, and 15 ultrasound rooms, which will offer state-of-the-art visualization. It is set to be the first facility in New York City to have MRI capabilities and an operating room in its neonatal intensive care unit.

The Pharmacy Informatics Specialists is responsible for supporting the pharmacy software applications as well asany ancillary systems or automation that the pharmacy application interfaces to, such as bed side barcoding,automated dispensing cabinets /machines and IV robotics. This position requires strong analytical skills in gathering information from users, defining work problems and designing a system of procedures to resolving issues that arise.

This is a part time position. You will be required to work 5 (7.5 hour) shifts in a two week pay cycle.

Preferred Criteria

  • PGY-1 or PGY-2 Residency Training
  • Data or mathematics experience or education 
  • Experience with Epic and/or Allscripts

Required Criteria

  • Completion of a Bachelor of Science degree in Pharmacy degree or PharmD
  • New York State Pharmacy License or eligibility to obtain license within 3 months
  • At least 3 years of experience as a hospital pharmacist or information technology professional or PGY1 or PGY2 Residency Training
