The Inpatient Oncology Coordinator is an integral role to facilitate a smooth and timely transition to inpatient care from various settings.
The ideal candidate will be able to coordinate the transition of care for a large number of complex oncology patients using dynamic prioritization and resource utilization.
The position requires advanced nursing knowledge of oncologic diagnosis and treatment, including commonly used chemotherapy regimens.
This individual will be responsible for implementing improvement in processes that impact access and delivery of care across the continuum, including length of stay. Excellent communication skills are a must, as is the ability to collaborate with multiple stakeholders.
Masters in Nursing or related field. If Masters in Nursing, BSN can be preferred
Current NYS RN Licensure
2+ Clinical oncology nursing experience
Chemotherapy and Biotherapy Provider
Demonstrated strong organizational and prioritization skills
Ability to work independently as well as a team environment
Highly developed interpersonal skills in order to interact effectively multidisciplinary team and patients
Demonstrates proficiency and comfort with computer skills
