The NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital Ambulatory Care Network's Women, Infants and Children (WIC) Program is a federal and state-funded nutrition education and supplemental food program. The WIC Program provides nutrition, health, fitness, and breastfeeding information as well as monthly benefits for nutritious foods to eligible participants.
Nutritionist Coordinator - WIC Program - Grant Funded
Under the direction of the WIC Program Manager, the Nutritionist Coordinator directs and manages delivery and evaluation of the site’s Nutrition Education and Clerical Services and conducts individualized nutrition care plans as scheduled for high risk participants.This role also oversees the ongoing monitoring of staff, site services and operations with clear forecasting and effective strategy development.
This role is tentatively funded until September 2020.
Preferred Criteria 
  • New York certified Nutritionist or Registered Dietitian eligible 
  • Bilingual English/Spanish
Required Criteria
  • Bachelor's degree in Dietetics or Nutrition 
  • Bilingual English/Spanish
  • Three yearsmanagement/supervisoryexperience, and one year WIC program management experience
  • Three years Nutrition Education and Counseling experience in a clinical or community setting
  • Strong communication skills
