Nurse Practitioner – Out Patient Adult Behavioral Health Program – Columbia Campus

As an essential part of our Ambulatory Care Network (ACN), the Behavioral Health Nurse Practitioner will be working with an interdisciplinary team in the outpatient setting providing psychiatric evaluations, crisis triage, stabilization, and linkage to ongoing outpatient treatment. Medication management and short-term treatment will be provided.  Collaboration with other mental health providers such as social workers, psychologists, case manager and psychiatrists would be integral in-patient care.

This is a Monday- Friday 9am – 5:30 pm full time day shift position.             

Preferred Criteria:

• Adult Behavioral Health NP with 2-3 years experience in the outpatient setting
• Strong psychiatric diagnostic skills
• Bilingual- English/Spanish

Required Criteria:

• Master’s Degree in Advanced Practice Adult Behavioral Health
• Board Certification Adult Behavioral Health Nurse Practitioner
• Current NYS RN & NP licensure
• Current BLS certification through AHA
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Minimum of one-year NP experience in outpatient psychiatric setting providing psychopharmacology and psychotherapeutic treatment
• Work with patients with comorbid psychiatric and substance use issues
