Coordinator - Community Outreach - Bilingual (English/Cantonese and/or Mandarin) Full Time - Days - Grant Funded
In this role, the Coordinator will serve as a liaison between Gracie Square Hospital’s Asian Psychiatry Program, NewYork-Presbyterian Lower Manhattan, NewYork-Presbyterian Queens, and the Chinese Community Partnership for Health. The primary responsibility of this position is to increase access points for mental health services for Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) communities by offering accessible information, outreach efforts, and support. This includes expanding mental health awareness, education, prevention strategies, increasing understanding and decreasing stigma around seeking mental health care; and contributing to the overall safety and wellbeing of these underserved communities in the NYC metropolitan area. This is a grant funded position.
- Bachelor's Degree in Social Work or related field
- Bilingual: English and Cantonese and/or Mandarin
- At least 1 year in a mental health setting or community outreach experience
- Excellent interpersonal and communication (verbal and written) skills
- Advanced computer skills in Microsoft Access, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and online virtual platforms (e.g., Zoom)
