Clinical Nurse Manager - RN - Operating Room - Columbia University Irving Medical Center - 3pm to 11pm

Today, we remain the go-to for highest acuity trauma, oncology surgery and neurosurgery cases. From pioneering "scarless" surgery techniques to multi-organ autoplantation, our 5,300 patient-focused RNs experience and achieve more than most can imagine. As Nurse Coordinator, you will drive efficiency, compassion and patient focus in the Operating Room at NewYork-Presbyterian/Columbia University Medical Center. Directly impact quality of care and inspire your nursing colleagues and support staff to deliver exceptional care to our patients and family members. You’ll support clinical decision-making, coordinate patient throughput, and be an agent of health and hope to the families of our patients. You’ll regularly participating in helping to gather staff perspectives to help positively impact the units by mentoring and motivating staff. Partner closely with the Patient Care Director/Nurse Manager, reporting on quality measures, and guide independent thinking and patient-focused compassion for your nursing colleagues.

This is a full time position from 3pm to 11pm at NewYork-Presbyterian/Columbia University Irving Medical Center.

Preferred Criteria

  • Experience as Charge Nurse or Team Lead 
  • Operating Room Experience 
  • Demonstrated nursing leadership experience
  • CNOR Certified

Required Criteria

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing
  • At least 3 years of Operating Room RN experience 
  • Current New York State RN license (or willingness to obtain)
  • BCLS certification
