Clinical Nurse I - Milstein Recovery Room - 8pm to 8:30am - Columbia University Irving Medical Center

At NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital, Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) nurses are patient advocates in the truest form. Following complex and rarely seen surgeries, we provide pain management, clinical assessment and vital information for multidisciplinary colleagues. Our PACU units support over 60 surgical suites, among them the nation's first to broadly use Artis Zeego 3-D robotic imaging.

When it comes to high-tech, high-risk care, PACU nurses are the critical link to positive outcomes-and respected members of our team. We care for a wide range of patients, including cardio-thoracic, vascular, transplant, neurosurgery, gynecology, oncology, and plastic surgery.

We experience a particularly high case mix index because of our reputation for quality and care. From the first successful pediatric heart transplant to the world's first center for orthopedic surgery, we've historically led the way. Today, our PACU nurses' mastery continues to set standards for post-operative care.

The hours for this position will be from 8pm to 8:30am.

Required Criteria

• At least 1 year of critical care or Recovery Room RN experience
• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing
• Current New York State RN license
• BCLS certification
