Care Coordinator - RN - New York Presbyterian Alexandra Cohen Hospital for Woman and Newborns - Part Time - Days - Hiring for an April 2020 start date.
NewYork-Presbyterian Alexandra Cohen Hospital for Women and Newborns is scheduled to open summer 2020. Located on floors 14 to 18 of the innovative NYP David H. Koch Center the new hospital will offer the full range of services a mother and baby may need before, during, and after childbirth—including specialized prenatal care if needed and high-level care for newborns in need of extra support.
We are seeking an RN Care Coordinator for our NICU units. You will have the opportunity to provide services and plan for the continuum of care for patients and families from across the world. You will oversee the plan of care and assure that patients are provided with needed care in a timely manner and with strong quality outcomes. You will assist parents in enhancing their capabilities of caring for their newborn and help coordinate all needed services to enhance the health and well-being of their precious little one. This is a Part Time position 18.75 hrs/week ,with weekend and holiday rotation.
2 years' of case management/care coordination experience in an inpatient NICU or OB setting
1 year of leadership experience in a healthcare setting
Master's Degree in healthcare related field
Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN)
Current NYS Registered Nurse (RN) licensure
3 to 5 years of health care experience in an acute care setting
Superior communication, demonstrated problem solving skills, strong business acumen, and interpersonal skills are critic
