Physician Assistant – Cortlandt Manor/Northern Westchester County - Inpatient Surgical Services

Looking for qualified applicants to join our growing PA program. We offer a supportive team environment at a local community hospital with hands-on training from both our surgeons and fellow PAs. This position offers exposure to multiple surgical specialties including General Surgery, Orthopedics, Colorectal, Bariatrics, Breast, Spine, Neurosurgery, Thoracic, Vascular, and Obstetrics and Gynecology. We are looking for an individual whose primary role will be to assist in managing post-operative patients on the floor as well as being involved with surgical consultations. Communication and teamwork required as there is frequent collaboration with surgeons, hospitalists, nurses and other colleagues throughout the hospital. We are a growing team with the possibility of altering schedules as our group expands. Training may begin with the day team and transition to night when appropriate. Night differential. New grads are welcome to apply.

Monday-Friday 3 12-hour nights (initial training may include 4 10-hr day shifts, 7a-5p, and transition to night when appropriate). Must be available for overtime and weekend coverage as needed. Schedule subject to change to accommodate the surgical program. 

Preferred Criteria:

• Experience assisting in the operating room.

• 1 + years of experience as a Physician Assistant.

Required Criteria:

• Bachelor's or Master's in Physician Assistant studies.

• NYS licensure.

• NCCPA certification.
