Senior Physician Assistant - General Surgery - Brooklyn Campus

The Department of PA Services seeks a Senior PA General Surgery to cover a range of clinical services under the Departments of Surgery, largely including inpatient surgical non-teaching teams including vascular surgery, robotics, breast, bariatrics, obstetrics, and general surgery. The Senior PA will supervise a team of clinical PAs (maintain schedules, performance evaluations, training, etc.) as well as collaborate with department administrators, physician leaders, the Chief PA Surgery, and the Director of PA Services in the strategic growth of their departments. The Senior PA also retains the ability to perform clinical duties in the Department of Surgery.
Preferred Criteria
-At least five years of experience as a PA with progressively increasing experience in hospital or healthcare leadership, ideally a history of surgical experience. Prefer active and engaged members of state and national PA organizations (ie: committee or Board participation).
Required Criteria
-Masters in Physician Assistant related studies
-NYS PA Licensure
-Current NCCPA Certification
-ACLS/BLS
-NYS Infection Control certification
-DEA Certification with NYS Opioid Prescriber training compliance
