In this role, under the supervision of the Radiology Manager or Radiologist, the Imaging Technologist is responsible for the preparation and execution of the following procedures: Diagnostic procedures, advanced OR Diagnostic procedures, portable Diagnostic, Cat Scan Exams, Cat Scan, Interventional Radiology, MRI, or Mammography. You’ll have an exciting opportunity to warmly greet & welcomepatients/visitors/staff& assist radiologists and other physicians in performing exams when necessary. Additional duties include to assess patient condition, produce good quality radiographic images, & ensure adherence to safety standards.
This is a per diem position for MRI services located at NYP/Brooklyn Methodist Hospital.
This is a per diem position working on an as-needed basis, including variable shifts and weekends and holidays.
Preferred Criteria:
  • Associates degree
  • ARRT Advanced modality (ie. mammography, CT, MR, or special interventional radiology) certification preferred
  • N.Y. State Department of Health IV Certification preferred
  • 2 years experience preferred
Required Criteria:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Graduate from an accredited program in the school of Radiologic Technology
  • Must obtain at least 24 continuing education credits every 2 years as per ARRT requirements
  • If working in general Radiology department: One year experience in diagnostics radiology required. One year experience in CT, Mammography, or OR procedures preferred
  • N.Y. State Department of Health X-ray License
  • American Registry of Radiologic Technologists Certification
