Nurse Coordinator – Oncology – Days

As a Nurse Coordinator, you will oversees the organizations of appointment for consultations and follow-ups. Establishes relationship and front line communication with patients and their families, explain procedures, and making the necessary physical and psychological assessments. You will be responsible for maintaining ongoing relations during the course of treatment and to make assessments. Act as a liaison between patients and the Radiation Oncologist and Therapists, provide education to patients to skin care and dietary needs specific to their radiation therapy treatments, and make appropriate referrals for dietitians and social service.

This is a full-time Monday – Friday 9:00AM – 5:00PM day shift position located at NewYork-Presbyterian/Brooklyn Methodist Hospital. 

Preferred Criteria

• Master’s Degree in Nursing (MSN)

Required Criteria

• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN)

• 5+ Years of nursing experience

• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) certification
