Vice President and Chief Nursing Officer

Joan is a highly respected, compassionate, and motivating Labor & Delivery nursing leader with more than 20 years of experience across three NewYork-Presbyterian hospitals. She has been extremely influential in shaping our nursing teams, setting a high standard of patient care, and fostering our culture of respect. Today, as Vice President and Chief Nursing Officer of NewYork-Presbyterian Lower Manhattan Hospital, she continues to carve out our future as we evolve to meet the changes in the nursing profession, as well as the changing needs of our patients, communities, and employees.

OB Patient Safety Coordinator

With over 14 years of nursing experience, Courtney has spent most of her career so far with NewYork-Presbyterian. She first joined us as a Postpartum and Nursery RN before taking on the role of Labor and Delivery Nurse where she also became a Magnet Champion. Today, as an OB Patient Safety Coordinator at NYP Weill Cornell Hospital, Courtney drives excellent, safe care and facilitates best practice. Most recently, Courtney assisted in the opening of the Alexandra Cohen Hospital for Women and Newborns.

Director of Nursing

Coretta has an exceptional ability to lead and sustain change within a culturally diverse community environment. As Director of Nursing – Women’s Services at NewYork-Presbyterian The Allen Hospital, she leads a team of 128 professionals and manages all aspects of the Obstetric Service line- Labor & Delivery, Level 2 Transitional Nursery, Postpartum and Newborn Nursery. In just four years, Coretta has increased employee engagement, maintained 4 stars HCAHPS, implemented performance improvement initiatives, and so much more.

Patient Care Director- Antepartum/L&D

As Patient Care Director and Interim Patient Care Director, Amrita aims to provide professional, diligent and innovative approaches to improve patient care practices. Day-to-day, she oversees a 22-bed high risk obstetric unit, serves as a leader in the Baby-Friendly designation processes, leads the VTE prophylaxis initiative for the obstetrics division, and more. Amrita’s commitment to care extends beyond NYP – in 2019, she volunteered with the Global Surgical Medical Support Group in Kurdistan, Iraq.

Clinical Nurse Manager

Jerrica joined NewYork-Presbyterian Lower Manhattan Hospital in 2016 as a Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse where as well as being a valued caring team member, she also participated as co-chair of her unit council. In 2020, Jerrica was promoted to MCH Clinical Nurse Manager where she oversees the daily clinical operations. She’s passionate about mentoring, committed to enhancing patient experience, and is playing a transformational role in our Magnet journey.

Patient Care Director- Labor and Delivery

Natali is a strategic and patient-focused Patient Care Director with more than eight years of experience in leading nursing staff. She is an exceptional team manager who can foster staff excellence, improve patient experience, and control multi-million-dollar departmental budgets. Some of her many accomplishments at NYP include improving Labor & Delivery OR efficiency, implementing NYDOH QUINCA initiative which has impacted 30% of post-partum mothers, and decreasing Erbs Palsy rate from 2.3% to 1.4%.
