Compassionate Nurses Make it Possible

Transplant Waitlist Coordinator - RN - Liver Transplant Program - Days

For visionary Transplant Waitlist Coordinators, the NewYork-Presbyterian Transplant Institute is a place where inconceivable care becomes inspiring reality. We performed the first successful pediatric heart transplant in 1984. Twenty years later, we conducted New York's first combined heart-liver transplant. Today, we’re pioneering multi-patient surgeries, pre-operative anti-rejection therapy and more. We're home to the largest multi-organ program in the United States and employ the most respected nurses in transplant medicine.

Our heart, lung, liver, pancreas and kidney transplant centers provide options for high-risk patients and unparalleled learning opportunities. As you monitor waitlists for high acuity transplant patients, you'll work closely with world-renowned clinicians.

The Center for Liver Disease and Transplantation is a bi-campus program that extends across two campuses and joins two medical schools – Weill Cornell and Columbia. As a Liver Transplant waitlist coordinator, you will oversee the transplant waitlist process by managing the data collection process. Review admissions and ensure CMS compliance and quality assurance. Utilize your clinical background in order to extract information from medical records. Our Transplant Coordinators have the resources and support to provide truly hands-on care. Enter a culture of achievement, where you will expertly collaborate with high profile members of the Liver Acquisition Program in a busy in-patient and out-patient services department, where you can match donors with recipients or support patients’ needs post transplant.

You will help educate patients, family members and other providers about the intricacies of organ transplantation and communicate with a diverse audience while synthesizing and applying advanced clinical knowledge.
