Senior Speech Language Pathologist - Pediatrics – Part Time


At NewYork-Presbyterian/Morgan Stanley Children's Hospital our Speech-Language Pathologists help pediatric patients experiencing serious impairments to connect with the world around them. Under the supervision of the Manager of Speech-Language Pathology, your primary responsibility will be to care for acutely ill patients in our new Cardiac Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) and our Level IV Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. Work collaboratively with members of the interdisciplinary care team. You will also work with pediatric inpatients and outpatients from birth to 21 years of age with feeding/swallowing disorders. Help us continue to live up to our reputation as New York’s #1 hospital. The position is three shifts.


The schedule is Thursday and Friday, Saturday and/or Sunday.



Preferred Criteria


  • Experience working with Trach/Vent patients
  • Experience working in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit
  • Experience working with complicated cardiac diagnoses


Required Criteria

  • Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology
  • Certification by the American Speech and Hearing Association
  • New York State Licensure in Speech-Language Pathology
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification required
  • 3-5 years’ experience  with pediatric patients in an acute care setting
  • Experience in dysphagia evaluation/treatment with pediatrics
  • Competency in Modified Barium Swallow Study
