The Position

Manage all aspects of care delivery as Patient Care Director of the Payne Whitney Manhattan psychiatric unit. Direct, monitor and evaluate nursing care while working closely with social workers, activity therapists, psychiatrists and substance abuse counselors to advance a restorative environment.

This role assumes front line responsibility for staff performance, quality improvement and fiscal effectiveness. You’ll work closely with high-profile clinical leaders, in support of Multidisciplinary Grand Rounds and other interdisciplinary initiatives. And you’ll foster a safe, patient-focused environment that helps nurses realize their fullest potential.

Key Criteria

Qualified candidates must demonstrate superior leadership and communication skills. Master's in Nursing or related field and NYS licensure are required, along with three to five years’ progressive management experience.. Candidates with ANCC psychiatric nursing certification are highly preferred, and must have previous inpatient experience.
