You will be a lead professional responsible for identifying, developing and implementing a physician compliance plan to ensure the integrity of all professional fee billing conducted by the Physician Services Organization at New York Presbyterian (NYP- PSO). This will include conducting investigations and mitigating compliances issues relating to professional fee coding, billing documentation and reimbursement activities.


Preferred Criteria

  • Experience with physician practice management systems including electronic medical records and physician billing software and processes
  • Master’s degree

Required Criteria

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in financial and compliance management of hospital based physician practice plans
  • Extensive (multi-specialty) knowledge of the various coding systems used by physicians/providers including CPT, HCPS, and ICD-10-CM, as well as knowledge of CMS, OIG, OMIG and state compliance rules and regulations impacting professional fee coding, billing and reimbursement areas
  • Extensive experience implementing and managing a professional fee billing audit program including the ability to develop and implement corrective action plans when needed
