In this role, you will serve as first response, identifying significant events and recommending positive solutions while proactively mitigating potential liability and safety issues for the hospital. You will maintain confidentiality for a large referral base while managing medical, ethical and discharge matters for patients, colleagues and their families. You will be a key liaison and mediator, providing a centralized and consistent patient resource and grievance mechanism to ensure patients’ rights are recognized.


This is a high-visibility position that demands tremendous interpersonal communications and public relations skills, as you will at times be working with the Office of the President, Director of Medical Ethics, legal affairs/risk management, public affairs, and local government offices. You will be caring for the people who are constantly caring for NYP and its patients, while preserving our continued delivery of patient-centered care.


Preferred Criteria

  • Master’s degree in a healthcare-related discipline or allied health profession
  • Current NYS RN / NP / PA license or willingness to obtain


Required Criteria

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • A minimum of 3 years of direct clinical experience
  • If RN, graduate of an approved school of nursing with current registration in New York State (RN)
  • Strong communication, interpersonal and analytical skills to resolve complex issues
