Deliver care you can be proud of. As a Laboratory Technologist you will conduct routine and complex tests on clinical specimens in the microbiology laboratory including mycology, bacteriology, and parasitology. You will troubleshoot instruments and methods. In state-of-the-art 24-hour facilities, you'll find real opportunities to maximize your time and training. Perform all quality control procedures and assist in the evaluation of new equipment, reagents and methodologies. Additional responsibilities include processing positive bloods, processing Flu samples and other molecular tests (BCID2, GI, ME, MRSA), gram staining, plating specimens, antigen tests (legionella, malaria, c. diff), critical reporting.

This position is a night shift position at New York-Presbyterian\Queens.

Monday-Friday with rotating weekends and holidays - 12am-8am

Preferred Criteria

• Microbiology experience as a Laboratory Technologist

• ASCP certification 

• New graduates welcome to apply!

Required Criteria

• Bachelor’s degree in Medical Technology or any other health science related field

• New York State Clinical Laboratory Technologist licensure from the New York State Education Department
