Electrician - Evening - Rotating Vacation/Sick Relief

In this role, you will perform installation and maintenance of electrical equipment, systems and devices. Isolates defects in wiring, switches, motors and other electrical equipment using testing instruments such as ammeter, ohmmeter, voltmeter and testing lamp. Repairs electrical circuits and equipment by cutting out and replacing defective wiring or by splicing ends of broken
wiring. Dismantles electrical machinery; replaces defective electrical parts, such as brushes, armatures, commutators and transformers. Installs new wiring for equipment; cuts and threads conduit; cuts walls for installation of conduit and boxes and installs conduit; installs new lights and control equipment. 

The schedule for this position will be an evening 4:00PM - 12:00AM rotating vacation relief role. This position will cover 12:00 am to 8:00 am night shift along with weekends and holiday shifts when needed.

****The initial schedule will be 8 am to 4 pm, Monday to Friday for hospital in-service and job training, 6 month probation period, and the completion of our onsite 4- day Industrial Electrical Safety training. Once the above items are completed then shift assignments will begin.

Preferred Criteria

  • Valid and current drivers license
  • A background in healthcare/ facilities operations
  • Experience with motors, motor controls, emergency power systems and medium voltage/high tension electrical systems

Required Criteria

  • High school diploma or GED
  • 3 years of experience in electrical environment
  • S-95 Certificate of Fitness for Supervision of Fire Alarm Systems (within 6 months of hire)
  • Must be available for weekends, evenings, nights, holidays, emergencies and scheduled work/outages

$48.85-$61.00/Hourly
